In the News: J.M. Smucker to hike coffee prices by 9%
CNN Reports today that J.M. Smucker, a leading marketer and manufacturer of fruit spreads, retail packaged coffee and many other food products, will increase the price of two of its large coffee brands sold in grocery stores, drug, mass merchandise, and club outlets.
The price of Folgers® and Dunkin’ Donuts® packaged products will increase by 9% as result of severe drought in Brazil that wreaked havoc on this year’s harvest of Arabica beans, the most popular bean in coffee production.
